Why this question, whether blogging is an art or it is a
science. Well! To all my readers, this question is very relevant in today’s
context.
Actually, in reality, blogging is an art. However, with the
passage of time and growing competition this art unfortunately became a
science.
Now what is the difference when you take blogging as an art
and when you take as a science?
Blogging as an Art
As I said earlier, originally blogging is an art. Art is
something that relates to human emotions, unlike science.
If you are in a room with your friend then you will obviously
talk to him, but if you are sitting alone then you cannot talk to anybody. It
makes sense only when two persons are talking face to face.
Likewise, in blogging, you write for someone who is going to
read. There is no meaning in writing if there is no one to read your blog. So,
here also you talk face to face with readers through your writings.
Hence while talking you communicate through your voice,
while in blogging you communicate through words. In both cases, human aspect is
important.
Thus blogging or writing is still an art.
Blogging as a Science
Now consider blogging as a science. But before that you need
to know how it became a science in recent times?
With an intention to only make money, many unprofessional
bloggers jumped into blogging. They started manipulating blogs through various
malpractices just to make money rather to help people.
SEO technique is one of such malpractices. These people
contrived various algorithms to rank high on search engines. So they may get
maximum traffic to their blogs.
Hence, designing algorithm and other techniques made
blogging more of a science than art.
However, thankfully this trend was for a small period of
time. But still many bloggers believe that blogging is a science rather art.
My “Honest” Opinion
Although, you know my opinion but still I would like to say,
blogging was an art, it is an art and
it will remain an art forever.
No one could change this very fact, come what may.
Thus, it is better that you should focus more on writing
good blogs rather wasting time on learning manipulations like SEO etc.
Yes! Writing takes time and it is painstaking. On the other
hand manipulation is easy and quick. But later one does not pay and former is a
goldmine.
Still Confused???
If you are still confused which one to choose then let me
clarify in a more eloquent way.
If you think you can write then focus only upon writing.
Just give a damn about stuffs like SEO and other methods.
But if you feel that you are not good at writing then you
might have to work on SEO which is more of a science.
So your priority should be to learn writing aspect of
blogging and then focus on SEO or things related to it.
Never work other way round because Blogging is an art not
science.
