Are You Running a Blog or a Website?

It is a matter of fact that every 9 out of 10 bloggers fail, when they start blogging.  Most of them simply quit and get on with their lives, what they were doing earlier.

Why it is so that 99% of bloggers around the world fail to establish themselves?

Well! In the universe, everything has a reason, even for this one.

I myself is a living example why most of the novice bloggers do NOT succeed. In fact, even I did the mistake that other bloggers commit and eventually, they all quit blogging.

LOL! I want that you and other bloggers do NOT make such mistakes.

So I wrote this blog-post.

Although blogging is a vast subject and we will touch upon every possible aspect of it, in my blog “MindYourBlogging.com”

But in this blog-post, I will shed some light on the most glaring fault that a new blogger commits when he starts blogging.

What it is?

He or she must be clear whether they are running a BLOG or a WEBSITE?

Now! What is the difference between a blog and a website?

Well! There is a significant difference between these two.

The most elementary difference is that blogging is dynamic, alive and engaging. On the other hand a website is static, monotonous and even dead at times.

You create blog with an intention to talk to people who are online, while a website is created just for giving some information about yourself or your company.

A blog is updated daily or even hourly, however a website is created by putting some static HTML pages on it only once.

In a blog, you engage in a conversation with your audience. There is a direct contact between the blogger and his audience.

On the contrary, in a website there is no such thing because it is barely updated. No direct communication with people online because there is no audience.

Blogs are usually run by passionate individuals unlike websites which are created by large companies for showing their online presence.

Thus, if you want to succeed as a blogger then you must realize a clear distinction between a blog and a website.

Never, do a mistake of creating 8 to 10 HTML pages and putting up a website in a hope that it might pay you thousands of dollars.

For a successful blog, you need a great content on daily basis. It must have something new to offer to your readers.

Well! One blog-post is simply not enough to understand the difference between a blog and a website.

Hence, I will be writing on this topic in my coming blog-posts.

However, I do hope that the message that I wanted to convey through this blog has reached to all of you.
